Description
Arugula is different in appearance from lettuce because of its dark green, elongated, multi-lobe leaf shape and peppery, sharp flavor. A wild variety, identified by its small leaves and hard texture, is becoming more popular in restaurants and markets, becoming a great substitute for lettuce in your food. During periods of fluctuating temperatures, arugula can have an extremely short lifespan so make sure you always eat fresh. Arugula is a specialty produce item and is subject to availability.
